RFDuck says…”Let’s keep it simple today: What is your theme song, and why?”

My answer: For this week I think my theme song will be “Staying Alive”. It seems as if everyone around me, and including me are sick or have health issues. I just want everyone to get better.

We’re doing something a bit different today for the Mambo. I am assuming you all have access to a radio.

Turn on your radio and dial in to your favorite station. What is the first (recognizable) song that you hear? What do you think about that song? If you could request a song right now, which would you request?

I tuned into the local radio station 98.9 The Fort. The weather report was on LOL so I had to wait for the music to start. The first song to play was one I did not recognize. Towards the middle of the song I realized it was “Roll On Tonight” by Kid Rock. It is an ok song…not really one of my favorites by him.

If I could request a song right now I would request “Temperature” by Sean Paul. I need something to get me motivated here at work and something to warm me up! LOL My office is cold.

Hi everyone! Today is Ice Cream Cone day. Yummy!
Everyone knows Ben and Jerry’s and their themed flavors. Make a flavor for one of your favorite bands, and tell us what kind of cone you prefer.

My favorite Ben & Jerry’s ice cream is Cherry Garcia! I prefer a waffle cone but usually have to settle for a regular cone. My favorite band is Aerosmith so for them I would make a flavor named “Heavenly Angel”. I would be chocolate ice cream, with chocolate chunks and chocolate covered cherries in it! YUM!

RFDuck says…”Greetings, all! Today is Latin Day for the Mambo. Usually Latin means “any country below Texas,” but I’m going to get literal.

Give me your favorite artist from the following Latin-based cultures:
Mexican/Chicano: Richie “LaBamba” Rosenberg
Cuban: Gloria Estefan
Brazilian: None that I can think of
French: I cannot think of one.
Spanish: Enrique Iglesias
Italian: None that stand out to me.

Monday Music Mambo: Wedding Music

RFDuck stated…”This will be quick and simple, because I really should be in bed by now. I was at a wedding this weekend, so that will be the theme for today.”

And the questions is…”What was your First Dance wedding song? If you aren’t married yet, what song do you want played during your first dance?”

My response: For my first (and only marriage so far) we did not have a wedding. We got married before the Justice of the Peace…short and sweet. IF I get married again I am not sure what song I would like to hear for our first dance. More than likely it will be “Angel Eyes” by the Jeff Healey Band…my most favorite song ever!
