Ann’s Link Love In

I got tagged for a linky love in from “Hooked On Memes“! Thank you!
I’ve tagged 5 more bloggers below.

EDIT: I had to change one since the blog was already listed :)

Start Copy and Paste Here.

Welcome to Ann’s Link Love In sponsored by the SuburbanGypsy.
Since this will be Ann’s very first meme, let’s get her going and good! Alright?

I have selected 5 bloggers (not including myself and our friend Ann) to tag and bestow a bit of linky love. I hope that you will similarly publish this post in your blog and pass that love forward. A bit of Free Love if you will.

Simply tag 5 other bloggers and just keep adding on to the list. (Do not edit, replace, or delete. Just keep on adding! With any luck, this will be one heck of a groovy list.)

It’s just that easy! What is in it for you? A little bit of fun, the joy of annoying your blogging buddies – AGAIN, new friends, potentially an increase in your blog traffic, Google Page Rank, and in your Technorati *wink*

Add your blog url…

Dona nobis pacem – November 6, 2008

Give Back Peace
Give back father, give back mother,
Give back grandpa, give back grandma,
Give back boys, give back girls.

Give me back myself, give me back men
Linked to me.

As long as men live as men,
Give back peace,
Peace that never crumbles.

by Sankichi Toge

Helen Keller: “I do not want the peace that passeth understanding. I want the understanding which bringeth peace.”

John Lennon: “Imagine all the people living life in peace. You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one. I hope someday you’ll join us, and the world will live as one.”

Halloween Questions!

Feel free to copy. I did…from Gina at “Gina’s Public Diary“.

1. What is the worst treat to get when trick-or-treating? I don’t like those peanut butter taffy candies wrapped in orange or black paper.

2. What character from any horror film would you most like to play? Kathy Bates from “Misery”

3. Would you rather be a zombie, alien, or psycho? I am already a psycho LOL so I pick a Zombie.

4. How many Halloween, Friday the 13th, or Nightmare on Elm Street movies combined do you have on dvd?
I am not sure, I have never counted them.

5. What is the scariest movie you have ever seen? When I was a kid it was “Friday the 13th”. As an adult I think “Darkness Falls” was the scariest.

6. Lamest costume you have seen on Halloween? Someone dressed as a prostitute.

7. Favorite Halloween treat? Chocolate

8. Friendly-faced jack o’lantern or scary one? Both! Depends on my mood.

9. Have you ever had nightmares about a scary movie character chasing you? Yes, and as an adult (38 years old) I still have bad dreams and I prefer to have a light on in the house at night.

10. Best thing about Halloween? All the wonderful candy!

11. Strangest Halloween custom you’ve heard of? None that I can think of.

12. Person in your family who most likes Halloween (not counting yourself)? My sister-in-law.

13. Are you superstitious? Yes, in some ways I am. I don’t walk under ladders and I get chills when a black cat crosses my path. I don’t step on cracks and I throw salt over my shoulder now and then.

IMPORTANT: Posting Comments

A sweet, kind blogging friend of mine (Bud) brought it to my attention that the comments section of my blog is not working very well. It seems blogger implemented something new and it seems to only work some of the time. So, I changed my settings so that the comment section is now a pop-up window. Please let me know if this works or not :)

Hugs!

The Peace Globe project began in the fall of 2006 with a simple post from one blog, Mimi Writes. The post ignited a flame in the blogosphere. The flame became a passion. The passion became a movement. It amazingly traveled from blog to blog to blog across the globe. Bloggers wrote passionate articles on what peace means to them, along with the promise of three Latin words scribbled on a globe – Dona Nobis Pacem (Grant Us Peace) - branded with the integrity of their names or blog names. It was positively inspiring to watch. And it began to happen all over the world – from Singapore to China to Afghanistan to Brooklyn.

It was simple. And powerful.

In less than three weeks bloggers from all across the globe will blog for peace.
We will speak with one voice. One subject. One day.
Won’t you join us?

The Answers:

(10-16 points) You are Garfield :
You are very comfortable, easy going, and you definitely know how to have fun but sometimes you take it to an extreme. You always know what you are doing and you are always in control of your life. Others may not see things as you do, but that doesn’t mean that you always have to do what is right. Try to remember, your happy spirit may hurt you or others.

(17-23 points) You are Snoopy:
You are fun; you are very cool and popular. You always know what’s in and you ‘ re never out of style , you are good at knowing how to satisfy everyone else. You have probably disappeared for a few days more than once but you always come home with the family values that you learned Being married and having children are important to you, but only after you have had your share of fun times

(24-28 points) You are Elmo:
You have lots of friends and you are also popular, always willing to give advice and help out a person in need. You are very optimistic and you always see the bright side of things. Some good advice:try not to be too much of a dreamer. Dreaming too big could cause many conflicts in your life.

(29-35 points) You are Sponge Bob Square Pants.
You are the classic person that everyone loves. You are the best friend that anyone could ever have and never wants to lose. You never cause harm to anyone and they would never not understand your feelings. Life is a journey, it’s funny and calm for the most part Stay away from traitors and jealous people and you will be stress free.

(36-43 points) You are Charlie Brown:
You are tender, you fall in love quickly but you are also very serious about all relationships. You are a family person. You call your Mom every Sunday. You have many friends and may occasionally forget a few Birthdays. Don’t let your passion confuse you with reality.

(44-50 points ) You are Dexter:
You are smart and definitely a thinker… Every situation is fronted with a plan. You have a brilliant mind. You demonstrate very strong family principles. You maintain a stable routine but never ignore a bad situation when it comes. Try to do less over thinking every once in a while to spice things up a bit with spontaneity!

Last Time Test

This was originally posted by Michele in a post titled “Another Last Time Test“. I have appropriated her neat little test to post here along with my answers. Please visit Michele when you get a chance.

1. When is the last time you actually looked like the photo on your driver’s license?
I just renewed my license not too long ago so I have not changed much…only a new haircut.

2. When is the last time you purchased tickets for a sporting event?
In the year 2000. I took the kids to see the Kansas City Royals play baseball!

3. When is the last time you were asked to prove your age to enter a bar or to purchase alcohol?
Four or five years ago when the Man and I went out with his nephew.

4. When is the last time you let the person in a hurry cut in front of you in line?
Last week at the local gas station.

5. When is the last time you flirted with the idea of spending more that a week’s salary on a pair of shoes?
I have never done that and I never will. I don’t like shoes that much!

6. When is the last time you thought “you can’t possibly be serious”?
LOL Today at work.

7. When is the last time you wished a politician would simply answer the question they were asked?
Every day! Sometimes several times a day.

8. When is the last time you called around to several stores looking for a particular item; and was this item the new shade of nail enamel in the Chanel fall collection? I have not done this in years…it is easier to find things on the Internet. And no, I have not been looking for the new shade of nail enamel in the Chanel fall collection.
